Investigated the effects of the Notch pathway inhibitor DAPT on cell-cell cohesion by conducting experiments using Trans Epithelial Electrical Resistance (TEER). September, 2011. Assisted optometrists in screening underserved communities for decreased visual acuity and ocular diseases in rural villages surrounding Tegucigalpa, Honduras. Observed small incision cataract surgeries and clinical practice in a Honduran eye clinic.
