Dr. Peter Bekendam is a board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and specializes in cataract and anterior segment surgery, glaucoma procedures, and comprehensive ophthalmology at Pacific Eye Institute. He is currently Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at Loma Linda University Medical Center in Loma Linda, California, where he also earned his Medical Degree in 2004.
Dr. Bekendam is Founder and President of Sight Restoration International, a non-profit organization that works to bring vision restoring surgery to patients in developing countries. He was honored by election to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society while in medical school.
